URANIUM: Stocks Crashing Sentiment, Demand Growing, Supply Slowing | WNA Symposium Recap
Justin Huhn, Ben Finegold, Mart Wolbert, Paul Goranson, and James sykes joined me for an interview that covered the WNA Symposium which took place in London this past week.
All interviews contained specific insights about the state of the uranium market as well as the uranium stocks, but in broad lines we discuss the following 5 topics:
- Uranium equity sentiment
- Demand for uranium and nuclear fuel
- Uranium supply response
- Global above-ground uranium inventories
- Long-term uranium contracting
Apparently, this WNA Symposium was the busiest one ever, hosting over 800 people who work in the nuclear and uranium industry.
Although the uranium stocks have not performed like we all thought (had hoped) they would in a bull market for the underlying metal, the sentiment around uranium and nuclear energy at the conference was very high.
A key topic of discussion was the shortage of timely #uranium supply, followed by a lot of talks about China's inventories.
According to Ben Finegold's recap of the WNA Symposium, "Rumours that the Chinese are looking at using their substantial stockpiles of U3O8 to put a price cap on the market were firmly put to bed this week, with various conversations we had reiterating that China will be net buyers of nuclear fuel for the next two decades.".
