Andrew Chubb, CEO of Awalé Resources (TSX-V: ARIC) joined us on this episode of Junior Mining Talks to talk about Côte d’Ivoire, one of the most developed nations in West Africa.
According to Awalé Resources, West Africa is home to over 300M ounces of gold, mostly hosted in the Birimian Greenstone Belt. The interesting part is that 33% of that greenstone belt is located in Côte d’Ivoire, but, so far, only about 10% of those 300M ounces of gold have been discovered in the country, leaving it one of the very few under-explored places on earth.
Is Ivory Coast a safe jurisdiction to operate in, does it have rule of law, and does it have an adequate permitting process? That’s what we set out to learn in this interview.
